There’s something beautiful about taking your time with things. In the middle of all the rush and noise, I’ve found that what truly grounds me — as a person and as an artist — is the act of making something slowly, by hand. That’s what BYKDstudio is built on.
For me, “handmade” isn’t just a label — it’s a commitment to being present. Whether I’m painting a botanical study or developing a custom piece for a client, each stroke is intentional. It’s how I connect with my subject, my materials, and ultimately, the person who will live with the artwork.
That said — and I cannot stress this enough — handmade and slow art doesn’t mean delayed or unreliable. It just means thoughtful. At BYKD, we’re fully committed to delivering work on time. If there’s a deadline, we will absolutely honour it. But we also know our process needs time to breathe. If you’re looking for an artwork “by tomorrow” (IYKYK!), we’re probably not the right fit — and that’s okay.
Some of our most meaningful projects have come from clients who brought us in at the very beginning of their journey — right when they were starting to shape their homes or design their spaces. I’ve had people come to me a year in advance because they wanted the art to evolve alongside their interiors. That kind of trust and collaboration is what BYKDstudio thrives on.
We believe the best work doesn’t come from rushing. It comes from listening, observing, sketching, revising — and allowing the work to find its own rhythm. And when that rhythm aligns with your space, your story, and your timeline — that’s when the real magic happens.
So, if you’re someone who values quality, process, and the quiet beauty of something made with care, welcome to BYKD. You’re in the right place.
